Is SMSdaters an ordinary dating site?
NO! SMSdaters is not only a dating site but also a mobile SMSdating service. SMSdaters have developed a totally new advanced system that makes it possible to chat and search for profiles and date, both on the internet and through the SMS function on your mobile phone.

Does the name SMSdaters indicate that I must have a mobile phone to have a profile?
No, it's not necessary to use the SMS system to enjoy SMSdaters, although it may be a bit more fun. If you do not have a mobile phone, you can still use the web part. Here you will find other profiles you can contact through chat or by mailing them. You can also send SMS messages to other profiles from the site.

How do I get started?
You can easily create a free profile by clicking on 'create your free profile now'-the link on the front page followed by filling in a bit about yourself. To make the profiles on SMSdaters as exciting and active as possible, some of the information you provide us with will be compulsory, to create a profile. Until all details have been obtained certain functions on the site will be limited.

Why is it a good idea to write the correct email address when I create my profile?
We ask you to add your email address so we can send you your password in case you forget it. If you write an incorrect password it will be hard for us to contact you and you risk losing access to your profile.

How do I change my member status?
If you want to upgrade to a Delight or Deluxe profile from a free profile you can do this on the site (click on `get your benefits` in the menu on the left hand side). If you want to change from a Free Profile to a payment profile click on 'change member status' under 'my account' and follow the instructions.

Do I need a Delight or Deluxe Profile to use the SMS system?
No, the SMS system is available to all with a profile and a mobile phone on SMSdaters.

How much does it cost to SMSdate?
As a Free Profile, SMSdaters datesite is free of charge. Using extra functions, such as the Delight- or Deluxe Profiles, costs £4 and £6 per month, respectively.

Our SMS services cost between 0 and 37,5 p depending on the function. If you pay by Credits, it costs between 0 and 375. Prices for individual services can be found under the page 'Prices'.

How do i pay for my Delight or Deluxe subscription?
When you decide to create a Delight or Deluxe profile, there are a two ways you can pay for your subscription. Either by credit card (VISA/Mastercard/Eurocard) or through the electronic payment service PayPal. Payment for your subscription is drawn automatically until you cancel it.

What are Credits?
Credits are SMSdaters' own special currency which are advantageous to have when you wish to use our various services - and at the same time save money.

When you use our SMSsystem, and have Credits in your 'account', we will automatically take payment from here. In this way we can offer you SMS's to a price which is 25% less than the price you pay via your telephone bill.

When you use services here at the site, for example sending SMS messages, you will also be paying with Credits.

Does SMSdaters have certain rules that must be obeyed?
Yes. These are described under 'Terms and Conditions'.

Who can I turn to if I meet unpleasant people on SMSdaters?
If you go to 'Echelon' in the menu, you can submit your complaint to Echelon@smsdaters.dk. You can also report any profiles with untrue or offensive material.

Is there a minimum age requirement to use SMSdaters?
Yes, you must be at least 18 years of age to use our website and SMS services.

Why can't I write my email address and phone number in my profile?
For your own safety. You shouldn't have an unpleasant experience through using SMSdaters and be bombarded with emails and phone calls from people you don't know. This way you will remain 100% anonymous as long as you wish.

Do you 'clean up' in the profiles?
Yes. Profiles that have not been active in 90 days are deleted. Profiles who do not follow the rules will also be deleted.

Am I anonymous when I use SMSdaters' SMS system?
Yes, 100%! When you send SMS messages through 85050, we make sure that the messages get to the right person without your identity or mobile number being revealed. For safety reasons, you must never write your phone number or other personal information in your profile.

How do I change information in my profile?
Under 'My account' or 'My profile' , click on 'Edit profile', conduct your changes and click 'Continue'.

Can I change my profile name?
Yes, to do this you must write a new name in your profile. If the name you wish to change it to is already taken, you will receive a message asking you to choose another name.

How do I get a photo on my profile?
First, you must scan the picture into your computer. Next, click on 'My profile' and then on 'My pictures'. Then click on 'browse'. A window will pop up which shows the contents of your computer. Here you must browse to your picture, mark it and click 'open'. Please notice that Deluxe Profiles can save up to three pictures on their profile and attach pictures to their letters sent through SMSdaters

What is a 'Profile match' form?
You will encounter this form the first time you create your profile. The form is also under your profile. The form can be used to make profile matches, so that you do not have to define your search criteria every time you search for profiles. The form is also used to match you up with other SMSdaters when you use our SMS service.

How does a 2way match work?
A 2way match compares your wishes from your profile match form and the chosen profiles' personal information. Simultaneously others will compare their profile wishes to yours. This way you can see if the others suit your wishes and vice versa. A 2way match happens when both wishes for the other are fulfilled e.g. concerning hair colour. In the bottom of the 2way match results you can also see the percentage of how well you suit each other's wishes.

Why are the percentages from the 2way match and the profile match not identical?
When a profile match is conducted, the percentage given does not take age, sexual orientation or sexual interests into consideration. Similarly, the '3 golden' are not calculated in the result of a 2way match. There will therefore be a minimal difference in these two percentages.

How do I delete my profile?
Under 'My account' or 'My profile' click 'Delete profile'.

What happens if SMSdaters does not forward the SMS messages I send?
In this case an error has occurred on the part of your mobile provider, which is the communication link between you and us. If this happens, you will not have to pay, because you never received these services.

Which browser should I use?
SMSdaters is optimally used with Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher as well as Netscape 6.0 or higher and with a screen resolution of 800x600 pixels. If you have another browser than the ones mentioned above, you may have problems seeing certain parts of the site when you visit SMSdaters.
