| No, not everyone. There are people who never date - some people
decide that they don't want the hassle of having to date people.
Some people do this for religeous reasons (nuns and priests for
example), and some chose celibacy as a way of life. |
Am I sad for feeling lonely? |
| Not at all. We think that it is part of human nature to want
to be involved with other people. Part of the problem might be
that you have pressure from relatives about when you're going to
settle down. For some people this adds to their stress and makes
them feel less confident when meeting people. |
Should I give in to peer pressure and rush
into dating? |
| No! Tell your friends you'll find a date when you're ready! |
How should I find a date?

| There are loads of ways, from bumping into people in the supermarket,
to answering ads online or in newspapers, or getting introduced
by friends. No way is better than any other. |
Should I try internet dating or is it just
for geeks?

Given that a huge % of the UK population has internet access
at work (hurray!) then we reckon there are loads of people out
there dating online who aren't "geeks" and anyway what's wrong
with geeks? ;-)

Should we "do it" on the first date?

If "doing it" is holding hands then yes! We suggest caution when
meeting poeple for the first time. Always take sensible precautions
(Like making sure someone knows where you are and what time you're
going to be back!)
Don't rush into a full on relationship - make sure you get to know
who you're dating! |
Where should we go on a first date?
|
Somewhere where you can get to know the other person. That
means somewhere where you can actually hear yourself think! No
to cinemas
as you'd be watching the film, noisy pubs and clubs are a bad
idea, so we recommend quiet pubs or a restaurant.

If I like someone should I go back to theirs?
|
This is something that we really have to recommend you don't
do. You've just met someone, your hormones are swimming all over
the place, you've had a little alcohol and you've only just met
this person.
Think about how you'll feel in the morning!
